An exercise in re-imagination of a fictional Delhi in a parallel dimension : (It was a group project.I was in the group,worked on the West Zone of the map of Delhi in parallel Dimension)
PLOT :
NORTH : The concentrated field of academia spread out through the entire region turning the entire North into a land of the Science and the Arts, with the largest student and research community in the region. It’s a land of
invention, innovation, research,discovery and creativity.
EAST :With growing violence against women all over Delhi in the earlier days, one segment of the women’s rights activism began pushing for the idea of a “land without men”, an imagination of a haven only inhabited by women and their own way of living as a society.
SOUTH : When one of the experiments by North researchers went horribly wrong, a massive light blast took place that changed the geology of the South and the West,which resulted in formation of never seen before crystals underground. Harvesting and mining those crystals, wielded the privileged residents of the South with the power to harness and control magic, which changed the socio-political landscape of the South forever.
WEST : The night the light blast occurred at the Iron Pillar which is posited at the border of the South and West, the ecosystem of the West also took impact. The crystalline formation under Pusa Hills resulted in the evolution of a super intelligent microorganism which rapidly spread through the soil, water and air, evolving the entire ecology of West by gifting all living species with a singular massive hive mind communication network. All the forests, grew uncontrollably with organic matter taking over the entire West. Wildlife multiplied rapidly and developed power in numbers to restore the balance between humans and all other species.
